Set Targets:
o Establish the Operations section of their Division 5-Year Strategic Plan (5YSP): deployment of their BG industrial strategy, convergence to benchmark KPIs, evolution of Division footprint
o Proactively participate / build (with their plants & support teams) the Division industrial plan to optimize asset utilization (including tracking of capacity equipment performance and utilization as well as Capex) and plant competitiveness, including foot print validation and optimization (available surface / layout, supply chain optimization, line transfers, staffing, …)
o Propose yearly budget for Operations, with a focus on gap closure to benchmark; targets setting for Plant Managers, definition of Prime Objectives aligned with Division priorities
o Validate every semester Plant Improvement Plans, including updated target layout for new programs

Secure foundations:
o Ensure safety of employees through adequate organization and compliance of equipment to safety standards
o Develop appropriate action plans to meet Customers’ expectations
o Implement an organization which promotes employee empowerment
o Secure internal control with the support of financial controller and finance network
o Represent their perimeter whenever appropriate for customer, legal, local authorities issues

Manage P&L to deliver Budget commitments:
o Review Plants results and forecast: weekly calls with all Plant Managers, monthly visits to biggest Plants to review performance in HSE, Quality, Cost, Delivery, HR: results, forecast, Continuous Improvement plans (POD, 18 FES KPIs, …), quarterly visit to smaller sites for similar performance reviews. Quarterly review of PIP progress, Plant Staffing needs and Individual Development Plans
o Develop corrective action plans when needed

Secure New Programs launch preparation:
o Define and execute with R&D/Purchasing/CBU new program industrial assumptions to secure acquisitions & improve Business Plan :
o Definition of footprint for new programs, optimization of program-related Capex with best utilization of existing assets
o Review of New Programs: attendance to Division committees for New Programs, analysis of Plant readiness for launches, attendance to major program milestones witnessed by OEMs (MPT, PPAP, …)
o Meetings with OEMs, to ensure understanding of expectations and to support CBUs in the relationship

Deploy FES and integrate the Digital transformation:
o Drive FES implementation by appropriate training and experience of their direct support team on FES tools and expertise, necessary to achieve targeted operational performance
o Validate Mother Plants’ interventions in other Plants / B.G.s
o Support / integrate the Digital transformation: identification of opportunities, integration of new competencies, roll-out of solutions

Develop talents:
o Develop plant managers’ accountability, autonomy and entrepreneurship; support Plant Managers for the staffing and on-boarding activities of any member of the plant management team. This means:
o Ensuring proper resources and reservoir management of Plant teams (anticipating staffing and reinforcement, monitoring coverage rate of succession plans)
o Ensuring individual people performance and development (continuous and regular individual feedback, coaching and training)

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level:
o Bachelor degree& above

Experience:
o Proven experience in plant management and lean manufacturing / FES production system/ Toyota production system

Skills and competencies:
o Must be a “Talent Developer”, directly involved on managing career development (developing others and building effective teams)
o Must have recognized leadership and coaching skills (motivating others)
o Must have a relevant record of achieved results (crisis management and / or profitable growth management)
o Strategic Agility
o Must be knowledgeable in Finance: capable of building, managing and delivering a P&L budget
o Fluent (written and spoken) English knowledge
