Responsibilities
? Understand the competitive marketplace and data challenges in the markets in order to carry out market and competitor study
? Provide recommendations and identify eCommerce business opportunities for China market to drive eCommerce growth based by designing data models and conducting data analysis
- Provide various forecasts and key action insights from analysis (e.g. activity effects, growth conversion, user behaviour, membership stratification, etc.) to improve our sales campaigns, promotions, and eCommerce plans
- Collaborate and/or supervise development of eCommerce analytical models (e.g consumer segmentation, A/B test plans, predictive/prescriptive models, etc)
- Recommend building of external eCommerce eco-system
? Summarize, report, and communicate findings/results and make business recommendations to China leadership team
? Provide analysis and reports on key China eCommerce KPIs to key stakeholders
Requirements
Qualities / Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (e.g. economics, statistics, data science, engineering, computer science, etc.) with preference on graduate degree
• Knowledge of statistics and proficiency with developing data models
• Knowledge of SEO optimization, traffic analysis, CRM and reporting tools
• Confident in dealing with large data sets, and data mining and data preparation methods
• Awareness of basic artificial intelligence methods and techniques
Data visualization skills and knowledge of associated products such as Tableau is a plus
• Strong communication skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills
• Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin)
Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of work experience with at least 3 years in a data analytics role
• Work experience in eCommerce – preferably in consumer product, beauty, self-care, or retail
• Experience in working with leading eCommerce platforms (Tmall, Amazon, Lazada, Shopee)
• Experience in communicating data insights to large matrix organizations, across geographies.
